Welcome to the North American Bible Institute Undergraduate Division ("the Institute," "we," or "us") student management system and related online services. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our system. By completing an application, making a payment, or logging into our system, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Scope of Application
These Terms apply to all students, faculty, and administrators ("Users") who access the Institute's student management system (including the student portal, faculty portal, and administrative backend), the Institute's official website, and related online services.
2. Enrollment Applications and Eligibility
Applications for enrollment must be submitted in accordance with the Institute's established procedures and are subject to an application fee.
Application fees are non-refundable regardless of admission outcome.
The Institute reserves the sole right to review applications, determine admission eligibility, and decline any application.
All information submitted in an application must be accurate and complete. Providing false information may result in rescission of any offer of admission or enrollment.
3. Tuition and Payment
Tuition is calculated based on the number of credit hours registered each term, at rates published by the Institute.
Online payments are processed through PayPal, and by making a payment you agree to PayPal's Terms of Service. The Institute does not store your credit card details.
The Institute also accepts offline payment by cash or check, which will be recorded in the system by an administrator.
Tuition must be paid in full by the stated deadline each term. Failure to pay may result in restricted access to academic services such as grade viewing and course registration.
⚠️ Refund Policy: Refund requests are processed in accordance with the Institute's Refund Policy. Online PayPal payments will be refunded to the original payment account; offline payments will be refunded by check or other arrangement. Refund amounts and timelines are governed by the Refund Policy in effect at the time of the request.
4. Account Security and User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and must not share login information with others.
You are responsible for keeping all contact information on your account, including your email address, current and accurate.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify the Institute's administrators immediately.
The Institute reserves the right to suspend or deactivate accounts where misuse or a security threat is reasonably suspected.
5. Academic Integrity
Grounded in Christian values of honesty and integrity, the Institute requires all students to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty:
Plagiarism, cheating, and any other dishonest means of fulfilling course requirements are strictly prohibited
All submitted work must be the student's own original effort; sources must be properly cited
Violations of academic integrity are subject to disciplinary action under Institute policy, up to and including dismissal
6. Acceptable Use
Users agree to the following when using Institute systems:
Do not attempt unauthorized access to Institute systems, other user accounts, or any protected data
Do not upload files containing malware, viruses, or harmful content
Do not interfere with, disrupt, or overload the normal operation of Institute systems
Do not use Institute systems for any unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or offensive activity
Do not use Institute systems for commercial purposes or reproduce system content without authorization
7. Course Content and Intellectual Property
Copyright in course materials, lectures, and multimedia content provided by the Institute belongs to the Institute or the respective instructor.
Students may use course materials for personal study purposes only; reproduction, distribution, or public display without written authorization is prohibited.
Students retain copyright in their own submitted coursework; however, the Institute may retain one copy as part of the academic record.
8. Attendance and Course Requirements
Students are expected to attend and actively participate in all scheduled course sessions in accordance with each course's requirements.
Attendance is recorded by instructors in the system and may affect grade assessment.
Students who need to miss a session for a valid reason should notify the instructor in advance and obtain approval.
Assessment criteria, deadlines, and specific requirements are governed by the individual course syllabus.
9. Service Changes and Interruptions
The Institute reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate online system services at any time, including for system maintenance, feature upgrades, and security updates. We will endeavor to provide advance notice where possible, but accept no liability for inconvenience caused by service interruptions.
10. Withdrawal and Termination of Enrollment
Students wishing to take a leave of absence or withdraw must submit a written request in accordance with Institute procedures.
Students who violate these Terms, the Academic Integrity Policy, or other Institute policies may face disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
Following termination of enrollment, students retain the right under FERPA to request access to their education records.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Institute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use Institute online systems. Services are provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
12. Amendments to These Terms
The Institute reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Institute systems constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Enrolled students will be notified by email of significant changes.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable United States federal law and the laws of the state in which the Institute is located. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
